Learn basic computer skills through this easy step program. The course covers a basic introduction to computers, productivity tools, internet, email and communicating online, keeping safe online and social media.
This course is designed to help you learn the basic steps of how to use a computer effectively, and to apply your computer skills to everyday use.
Computers are an important part of life and many people use them to keep records, do calculations, search for information, store pictures, play games and communicate with others.
This course provides an ideal pathway into any of the accredited or pre-accredited courses offered at Laurels Education & Training. It is also an ideal pathway into employment or to build on existing work skills.

Learn how to use a range of software programs to produce documents, flyers and manage data
Social Media & Online Communication
Looking at social media and its use in today’s society
The Internet, email and communicating online
Setting up an email account, using the internet to communicate and search for information effectively
Keeping safe online
Understanding and avoiding scams and common online safety issues
